Bruce Bernhardt started playing mandolin with String Fever, a Minneapolis-based group and played with them for 12 years, then joined Dick Kimmel and Company two years ago. It has only been about 15 years or so since he began playing mandolin. He has been influenced greatly by players like Adam Steffey and Sam Bush. He found his match with Brian Ford as a musical mentor. When they get together the strings just light up. Bruce enjoys playing with the Fish Heads, where he can cut lose a little more. Bruce has been a great vocal addition to the band and enjoys singing old country standards too.
